  1.                      Welcome to MAIL MANAGER +PLUS+!

  3. MAIN MENU commands are a single letter, and as follows:
  4.  
  5.    C - Configure Mail Manager +Plus+.
  6.  
  7.        Permits you to tailor Mail Manager's operation to suit your prefer-
  8.        ences.  For help on available options, press ? at the configuration
  9.        menu.
  10.  
  11.        When you are finished configuring, you'll be asked to save your
  12.        current choices.  You MUST answer yes if you want your changes to
  13.        be saved for subsequent visits to the Mail Manager +Plus+ door.

  15.    D - Download new mail.
  16.  
  17.        Will find and extract all new mail from your selected conferences,
  18.        in the format that you told Mail Manager +Plus+ to use (Text or QWK).
  19.  
  20.        Mail Manager +Plus+ will then compress the file(s) in your selected
  21.        compression format.
  22.  
  23.        Unless your file protocol is set to N)one, Mail Manager +Plus+ will
  24.        then send you the mail packet.  If your default protocol is set to
  25.        N)one, you'll be asked for the transfer protocol of your choice.
  26.        If you choose "N", the file will not be sent to you, and you'll be
  27.        returned to the main menu.  Otherwise Mail Manager +Plus+ will do
  28.        its best to send a compressed version of the mail to you via your
  29.        selected choice.

  31.    E - Expedite!

  33.        Same as Download (above), except automatically exits when finished.
  34.        If sysop has configured system to allow logoff from within door,
  35.        will disconnect caller when finished, otherwise will return user
  36.        to the main bulletin board.

  40.        Display this help file.

  44.    M - Message number (lowest) to extract in each conference.
  45.  
  46.        Mail Manager +Plus+ will normally download mail based on the
  47.        last message that you've read in each conference.  Since you
  48.        can read mail both online AND offline, and have the option of
  49.        telling Mail Manager +Plus+ NOT to update your last message
  50.        read markers, you might want to use this option from time to
  51.        time to reset them to what you want.

  53.        You may set this in a number of ways:
  54.  
  55.           - by entering a specific message number,
  56.           - an increment such as +50 or -25,
  57.           - "L" to reset to the highest message in the conference,
  58.           - "L-10" to extract the last 10 messages, or
  59.           - just press [ENTER] for no change.

  61.        After setting your message marker, you may also choose what
  62.        type of messages to select for this conference.  You may
  63.        choose three possibilities:
  64.  
  65.           - receive ALL messages.
  66.           - receive personal only.
  67.           - apply the system default (all or personal only) as
  68.             selected in the system configuration area.

  70.        If you get an error while changing your message markers, try going
  71.        back through the C)onfigure option, saving your settings, and try
  72.        again.

  74.    P - Post a message.
  75.  
  76.        Allows you to enter a message into any conference which you have
  77.        previously joined.
  78.  
  79.    R - Read messages.
  80.  
  81.        Allows you to read messages from any conference which you have
  82.        previously joined.  You may also write a reply to the message
  83.        you are currently reading.

  85.    U - Upload your replies.
  86.  
  87.        Works with QWK-compatible mail reader/repliers only. Your uploaded
  88.        file is expected to be compatible with the .REP format used by
  89.        popular mail readers such as SLMR.  Mail Manager +Plus+ will look
  90.        for the REP packet after the upload and attempt to place your replies
  91.        into the proper message bases.

  93.        If your default protocol is set to N)one, you'll be asked for the
  94.        protocol that you wish to use.  If you select N)one, you'll be
  95.        returned to the main menu.

  97.    Q - Quit (return to BBS).

  99.        This one should be pretty self-explanatory.

  101.    G - Goodbye (logoff).
  102.  
  103.        If sysop has configured the door to allow direct logoff, this
  104.        will disconnect you.  If not, G)oodbye will return you to the
  105.        main bulletin board.

  107.    W - Who's online?
  108.  
  109.        Displays a list of who's online to all nodes of this RBBS-PC.
  110.        (Much like RBBS's command of the same name).

  112.    X - Expert toggle.
  113.  
  114.        Turns the main menu on or off.  (Much like RBBS's command of the
  115.        same name).
